Hello! Thanks for stopping by for a cuppa. I'm Katy, the writer of this blog. I live on the edge of a tiny village in East Sussex, near Ashdown Forest. I live with my very patient husband, my rather quirky pre-schooler, Dexter and new baby, Delphi.This is my third attempt at blogging; see my other efforts here and here. I'm very much an amateur 'hobby blogger', but I love to document the little glimpses into my world.
I'm a secondary school English teacher which I love, so I'm a huge fan of the written word - that's what I'm comfortable with. I also adore beautiful photographs - taking these is more out of my comfort zone! The photographs I feature on here will largely have been taken using my trusty iPhone with a bit of clever editing using some helpful apps.
I like to think about - and write about - my family, my home and day-to-day life in an aspirational world. I also adore ponies, punctuation, great food, colour, fashion, interiors blogs and Lauren Laverne! I feel like I've missed out on my true calling to be a media star(!) so 'A Cuppa with Katy' is my attempt to carve out a tiny niche in the massive world of social media.
